I bought this for a new gardener for a Christmas gift this year. I really like. Lots of helpful information.Hubby is the gardener and has been doing it for a long time, but when I suggested this book, he said there's always something to learn. He must have been right because he takes it to work to read on breaks. Easy to understand and lots of illustrations/pictures.Like I have stated before...I love gardening. I just needed a source of information that would help be do what I love but do it better.​These books come with complete information that a novice would want and the beautiful pictures not only help you understand but they truly are beautiful to look at.This book is a basic intro to gardening. It covers just a few plants, of each type. If you want to grow orchids, or roses, you need to buy a special book. The title describes it perfectly: "simplified".Lots of info and still need to sit down and read itnice tipsnice bookgood book for beginning gardeners.
